This assignment was a lot more difficult than I first thought. I started out by writing out a simple 16-measure melody and then outlining the solfege that would fit in each chord, similar to the activity we did in class. I had to re-write and re-record many times, and struggled a lot with making the entries line up with each other and singing in time. After attempting a few different strategies, I found that I had to break up the sections in order to sing all the parts in time. I’m proud of my voice leading and part-writing; I was able to make a simple melody that fits together very well. I think an area of improvement would be my execution, specifically my timing when singing the parts and keeping a steady pace.
